12G External HD Mini-SAS Dual Host (2)SFF-8644 to (4)SFF-8644 External HD Mini-SAS Drive Cable Each cable will connect from (2) separate HBA’s — and connect to (4) Drives fitted with our ADP-4480 HD Drive adapters. Each connection to each drive will carry signals to Port 0 from Host A, and signals to Port 1 from Host B (so both ports of each drive are accessed by the 2 separate Hosts) If your HBA’s each have (2) HD SFF-8644 connections, then a set of (2) of these cables will enable you to connect (2) HBA’s to up to 8 drives, accessing both ports of each drive.

HD SAS Drive Analyzer Cables We now offer cables for the latest JDSU Xgig© Protocol Analyzer. We currently offer them in (2) styles: Single-Drive and Dual-Drive configurations. Both styles have the new SFF-8644 ‘HD Mini-SAS’ connector on the Xgig end, and either the Drive connector or the Backplane* (Host) connector on the other end. Both cable assemblies have 5v/12v power cords to supply power to the Drive directly from the Host. Available in 1m length only. *a ‘stiffener’ is built into the Backplane cable to facilitate easy insertion of the Backplane connector into the Host enclosure.

External HD Mini-SAS SFF-8644 to SFF-8643 Internal HD Mini-SAS HD Mini-SAS cable configurations The High Density (HD) system referenced as HD Mini-SAS (SFF-8644) in the SAS 2.1 standard, meets the 6Gb/s SAS specification. These HD Connectors are also used in the SAS 3.0 specification. The Low-profile interface uses less PCB real estate allowing twice the port density compared to the previous version of Mini-SAS.
